Master cylinder comes in a standard finish of Polished. Black powder coat is available for $100 extra. Please specify which finish you'd like. This is the brake master cylinder you see us use in most of our builds!

These are universal; however, the two bolt pattern lines up with most classic GM cars and trucks as well as the Ford Broncos. The rod connecting the master cylinder to the pedal is universal fit and will need to be modified to fit (in most cases) your specific application. The electric pump needs to be remotely mounted, usually under the body of the car/ truck. Make sure the bleeder screw is the highest point of the system, so you can bleed the air out!

Now, what are these and how do they work???

The system is an electric over hydraulic kit that replaces a standard vacuum assisted brake booster. This is especially important on a vehicle with low vacuum, due to larger lift camshaft upgrades or boosted applications. The kit incorporates a hydraulic accumulator ball. The pre-wired electric pump (15 amp draw at max pressure) builds up pressure that the accumulator stores. This allows for a very smooth actuation of the brakes. The system also provides additional reserve pressure to assist the brakes in the event of a failure of the vehicle's electrical system.

Using the correct type of lines and connections for this system is very important for safety and reliable performance. A high-pressure brake hose with crimped-on fittings with a 3,000 PSI pressure rating or higher is required for the line that attaches from the master cylinder to the booster port. The fluid return line is a non-pressurized line that requires a brake fluid-compliant hose with attaching clamps (Included in this system).

The master cylinder is approx. 9" long and 3.5" wide, which will also help with valve cover clearance on a lot of these vehicles.
